Building my own product, even if its just side projects. I've realised a truth of life. It's humbling. Great products aren't built on the first try. All the tiny details you admire about something. You don't design all the edge cases and use cases and beautiful interaction and worthy features in one go.

The idea isn't new. Iterations, we call it. The gist is simple. You build as far as you can see. You use it. You find ways to improve it.

Critiquing my early designs thinking that I'll be judged on the quality of my design. Actually, they prolly will judge me. But what's freeing is not thinking about it. It's the pressure of perfection that kills inspiration.

It's a different kind of high, seeing it evolve, from the bare bones.

Complexity isn't solved on day 1. You strip away over time.
